Mistura 2017: Celebrating 10 years
(Lima - Peru, October 26 – November 5)
Mistura, Latin America’s leading gastronomy fair, brings together some 400,000 visitors every year and is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2017. It will be held from October 26 to November 5 in Lima, Peru.
Since 2008, Mistura has consolidated its position as
the most important gastronomic fair of Latin America, highlighting Peru´s world renowned cuisine. The fair brings together the main players of the gastronomic value chain from the different regions of Peru: small farmers, artisanal fishermen, restaurants, grassroots cooks, and the producers of cacao-chocolate, wine, pisco, bread, cheeses and coffee. To this end, Mistura is thematically divided into different culinary worlds. In addition, the fair offers a huge variety of typical Peruvian culinary products at The Great Market section.
The fair has also become a major event for famous international chefs, who not only visit it but also participate by giving lectures or cooking classes. Among the chefs that have participated at different times in Mistura are: Alain Ducasse, Joan Rocca, Ferran Adria, Massimo Bottura and Yukio Hattori. And, of course, Peru’s own outstanding chefs including Virgilio Martínez, Mitsuharu Tsumura and Gastón Acurio.
During the Fair, visitors can enjoy different music and dance shows by many Peruvian performers.
The Fair is recognized by the Government as an event of National Interest and is inaugurated by the President of the Republic of Peru.
